Gull Lake Adventure Ice Fishing

Getting sick of winter? Sick of being stuck inside? Want to try something new?

Adventure Ice Fishing is a family run business that will provide you everything you need to get outside and try your luck on the diverse fishing waters of Gull Lake! They will set you up with everything you need to catch your own fish and the best part yet – you can even spend the night. Kids, dog, grandparents welcome!

At first, I have to admit, I was a little skeptical about sleeping in a shack on the middle of a lake, in the dead of winter, on plywood bunk beds.  But a few minutes after arrival we already had a fish on and our excitement levels increased dramatically! As the shack comes with pre-drilled holes in the bottom of the floor, equipped with an underwater camera to increase your chances and add to the thrill, we easily settled in.

When arriving at the location, we texted the owners, Jared & Trina, who greeted us at our shack for the night. They showed us how everything worked and gave us a couple quick tips to start fishing.

*** Shacks are located about 900m off shore. If ice is not driveable, there is a quad that will shuttle your stuff back and forth to your car on shore.

As you can probably tell this experience completely exceeded my expectations. From the hospitality of the Littlejohn family to the fully equipped shack, and more importantly the wild experience of actually watching the fish attack your line!! I would 100% recommend this to anyone who wants to get outside and enjoy themselves this winter!

Thank you Littlejohn family!
