This is an amazing hike requiring minimum skills as there is no scramble. But its not for the faint of heart this hike is straight up! And long! But it has so much to offer. Wildflowers, meadows, valleys views, a well maintained trail. This is a great hike for the fit soul!
You can do this as a loop as well by going up the Tuff Puff way and go down to kinglet lake trail. We unfortunately could not make the loop this day as we have extremely high winds. But I’ve heard it is wonderful!
The trail head for this hike begins at the Kinglet Lake trail head, which is located on the north side of the David Thompson highway. The sign is pretty small, so keep your eyes open. Its about 2km after siffieur falls canyon. The trail is well defined and will come to a signed junction to point you in the right direction.
This trail is pretty steep so try not to get discouraged because its worth the trek. Most of the trail offers amazing views with a mix of some tree coverage with came in handy when it started to rain!
Overall this was an amazing hike and I can not wait to do the loop and check out Kinglet Lake. Maybe spend the night over there if I can manage to hike a 50L pack up those steep sections!
